S.Q-Farnem(Faropenem Sodium) Uses:

Faropenem Sodium tablet is the generic form of the brand-name drug S.Q-Farnem, a drug indications for the treatment of Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Enterococcus, Cataracts, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, Enterobacteriaceae, Proteus mirabilis, Haemophilus influenzae, digestive chain Cocci, Propionibacterium acnes, Bacteroides and other susceptible strains caused by the following infectious diseases:

  • Urinary tract infections: pyelonephritis, cystitis, prostatitis, capsule pill inflammation;
  • Respiratory infections: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess (pulmonary abscess);
  • Uterine attachment inflammation, intrauterine infection, vestibular glandular inflammation;
  • Superficial skin infections, deep skin infections, acne (accompanied by suppurative inflammation);
  • Secondary infections such as lymphangitis, lymphadenitis, mastitis, perianal abscess, trauma, scald and surgical trauma;
  • Dacryocystitis, sty, facial inflammation, keratitis (including corneal ulcer);
  • Otitis externa, otitis media, sinusitis;
  • Periodontal inflammation, periodontitis, gingivitis.

Side effect:

  • The main adverse reactions were: diarrhea, 55 (2.5%), abdominal pain, 19 (O.9%); loose stools, 15 (0.7%), rash, 13 (0.6%), nausea, 12 (0.5%) etc.
  • As for blood biochemical indicators, there were 56 cases (3.4%) of ALT (GPT), 36 cases (2.2%) of AST (GOT), and 27 cases (1.8%) of eosinophils.

Warning:

  • Use this product with caution if you allergic to penicillins, cephalosporins, or carbapenems;
  • Prone to bronchial asthma, rash, urticaria and other allergic symptoms in patients with physical caution.
  • Patients with poor oral intake or are receiving non-oral nutritional therapy patients, patients with poor general condition (vitamin K deficiency sometimes occurs, it needs to be fully observed) use this product with caution.
  • Shock may occur when taking this product, so should be fully examined.
  • The highest incidence of adverse drug reactions is diarrhea and loose stools.
  • When diarrhea and loose stools occur, appropriate treatment measures such as suspension of medication should be taken immediately.
  • Especially for elderly patients, because of diarrhea and loose stools may cause deterioration of the general condition, patients should be instructed in advance if they should immediately seek medical attention once the symptoms occur, and at the same time suspend the use of drugs and take appropriate measures.
